wwf oasis - bussento caves
A canyon covered with lush vegetation to visit along a path that winds from the historic center along a stream with springs, waterfalls, an ancient mill up to the cave where we witness the resurgence of the karst river Bussento.
The Oasis is located within a Site of Community Importance (SIC IT8050016) in the Municipality of Morigerati (Sa).
The area extends for about 607 hectares within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park and is also in the world list of Geoparks. The Morigerati Oasis is a "main" geosite due to the significant karst phenomenon.
